Richard Mitchell, also known as The Cambridge Toastmaster, has enjoyed a full and varied teaching career, culminating in a wonderful eleven years as Headmaster of a leading Independent Preparatory School in Northamptonshire.

Richard has attended and/or hosted hundreds of school, governor, parental, civic, corporate, charitable and social events. Having also trained as a public speaker, Richard uses his vast experience to help people's events run smoothly, acting as a professional Master of Ceremonies at weddings, balls, colleges, and corporate events.

After returning to Cambridge in 2016, he trained with the National Association of Toastmasters and is delighted to be part of this prestigious membership. This has enabled him to grow a successful career as a professional Toastmaster working right across the UK, as well as within Cambridge itself.

Richard is passionate about sport and is also currently a rugby and cricket coach for a major Independent school in Cambridge. He sits on two School Governing Bodies and pursues a secondary career in photography.

Offering guidance and advice, Richard ensures that you are in capable hands as soon as he comes on board to help with your function. He is a seasoned and comfortable public speaker and familiar with audiences and environments across many genres.
